RESTORING THE TREASURE.

For years Mombasa has been known as "the city of merchants". The port of Mombasa is the gateway to East and Central Africa, and is one of the busiest ports along the East Africa coastline.  The port provides direct connectivity to over 80 ports worldwide and is linked to a vast hinterland comprising Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Eastern democratic Republic of Congo,  Northern Tanzania , Southern Sudan, Somalia and Ethiopia by road. On June 6th 2018 the kenya port authority was diverted to Nairobi. This nearly killed the economy of Mombasa,  because it was the main source of economy for the island. It led to many people losing their jobs . This made Mombasa face a huge economy lose.  On September 13th after president Ruto was sworn in as the 5th president of the Republic of Kenya,  he issued instructions for the return of KPA back to Mombasa as he promised in his campaigns . All clearance of goods and other operational issues were to be reverted back to Mombasa....

SHOULD IT BE ACRIMONIOUS?

Life at the university can be one of the most exciting time in a youth's life. It is where most of us are exposed to realities of adulthood. Unlike high school where we are under the protection of teachers and parents, in campus we are exposed and allowed to grow.  Dating is crucial while in campus. Campus relationships can turn to either be good or bad . However, we get to learn and grow from it. This phase allows the students to understand the harsh realities of love and romance.  It lays the foundation of long lasting relationships and even marriage.     Peer groups are fundamental in campus . Pressure from them can make one get into a relationship in order to fit in with the others.  Wanting to do what others want from you. People pleasing as u can say it. Toxic relationships can cause problems and even depression.  When one is in that kind of relationship ,they can't focus on what is important which is studies. Resulting to failing and even loose ...

Darkness

Emotions affect us in different capacities. You will experience feelings that are unfamiliar. At times you feel left alone wanted and unlucky.  When thoughts cloud your mind darkness finds its string and pulls you towards it . It consumes you and truly its scary . Feeling lost but still around , feeling unloved but still surrounded by people and friends . Feeling worthless but still surrounded by people who see you worthy.   Darkness is scary . Most people are consumed by it unknowingly.  Some people experience failure and it turns them to different people.  One's behavior changes with time and they turn cold . Check up on your friends .  All in all, we cannot allow these negativities consume us wholly.  Positivity is key.  Good attitude and believing in yourself.  Nothing is impossible.  Life is a journey and everyone is allowed to move at their own pace. Have your own back .

Last week a nigerian song made it top to top song most streamed in Apple music in kenya that led to Nigerians trolling our music industry. Out of 100 streamed songs in Apple Music kenya we only have 2 songs that are both by Bien of sauti sol. Kenyan artistes have continued to lament of them always being sidelined in events where they curtain raise for Nigerian artistes who are the main perfoming artistes. The government has not always been supportive of the industry paying artisted as low as 1500 to artistes who have invested thousands of money in their music. Bien-aime-sol of sauti sol has always been on the forefront urging kenyans to support the kenya music i...
